On Tuesday, actress Rose McGowan turned herself in to face a felony drug possession charge, said authorities in the suburban Washington D.C. area. After her arrest by the Loudon County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office, she was released on a $5,000 bond.

A warrant was issued for the Charmed actress’ arrest back in February for an incident on her United Airlines flight to Washington Dulles International Airport. Authorities said an investigation of her belongings left on the flight tested positive for narcotics.

According to The Hollywood Reporter police declined to say what specific substance was found on McGowan’s belongings

The warrant for McGowan’s arrest wasn’t made public until October leading her to believe it was a retaliating effort made to silence her recent sexual assault claims against Harvey Weinstein.

McGowan has been a very vocal accuser about the sexual misconduct in Hollywood ever since she opened up last month about allegedly being raped by him back in 1997. McGowan said she was offered a $1 million non-disclosure agreement, but decline any sort of agreement after an article published by the New York Times shed light on the sexual harassment and misconduct acts Weinstein committed allegedly.

Unclear as to when McGowan was made aware of the warrant, she had this to say on twitter at the end of October: “Are they trying to silence me? There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia. What a load of HORSESH*T.”
