After her frightening ordeal of getting robbed at gunpoint in their Paris Hotel in October, Kim Kardashian is taking extreme security measures before moving into her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion this summer.

According to a report by celebrity website TMZ, the 36-year-old will have “armed guards 24/7” outside her residence.

The mansion has been under renovation for three years.

Kim, the wife to rapper Kanye West, is said to be happy with the 30,000 square foot house because it is located 45 minutes from the busy downtown Los Angeles.

The home is in the suburban gated community of Hidden Hills, where there is a guard shack.

The mansion has state security. It has cameras, alarms, motion detectors, and according to the website, a safe room.

It has eight bedrooms and ten bathrooms.

Extras include a swimming pool, hot tub, movie, a movie theater, and a make-up room.

There have been reports that Kanye West has been constructing a lake in the backyard. Recent photographs show there is plenty of scope for a large water body.

The couple purchased the home in August 2014. Kanye had some major renovations done. Not satisfied with the work, the award-winning rapper commissioned another round of remodeling.

Once owned by Lisa Marley-Presley, the spread used to be smaller and more traditional.

It has been resurfaced with a light beige color that was smooth. Its windows were also bigger.

In January, photos of the renovation surfaced, and it looked like there still needed to be major renovations.

The lake had not yet been built.
