The trial of celebrity chef Mario Batali, who is accused of sexual assault, has been scheduled for April in Boston.

The trial will begin on April 11 in Boston Municipal Court, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins’ office.

Batali pleaded not guilty to charges of forcibly kissing and groping a woman after taking a selfie with her in a Boston restaurant in 2017.

His lawyers have previously stated that the charge brought in 2019 is “without merit,” but have yet to respond to an email seeking comment.

Batali was a regular on Food Network shows such as “Molto Mario” and “Iron Chef America.” However, in recent years, the ponytail-wearing, orange Croc-wearing personality’s high-flying career has fallen due to sexual misconduct charges.
