Authorities say rapper Kodak Black was detained on a trespassing allegation in South Florida on Saturday.

According to the South Florida SunSentinel, Black was brought into jail early Saturday morning in his hometown of Pompano Beach by the Broward Sheriff’s Office. The reason for the arrest was not immediately revealed by investigators.

According to the publication, Black, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, later paid bond and was released. An emailed request for comment from his publicist and attorney was not immediately replied.

President Donald Trump shortened Black’s three-year federal prison term for fabricating documents used to buy guns at a Miami gun store on his last day in office in 2020. He had completed around half of his sentence.

Last April, he was sentenced to probation for assaulting a teenage girl in a hotel room in South Carolina. Black was charged with rape at first, but agreed to a plea bargain and pleaded guilty to first-degree assault.

“Zeze,” “No Flockin’,” and “Roll in Peace” are just a few of Black’s multiplatinum and platinum-certified tracks.
