Adele announced on Wednesday that her next album, “30,” will be released on Nov. 19, six years after her last.

The first single, “Easy on Me,” will be released on Friday.

The British singer, who divorced in 2019, wrote on Instagram that she’s feeling better after “pushing myself into a maze of sheer disarray and inner torment.”

She wrote, “I’m ready to finally put this album out.”

Her previous two albums, which featured mega-hits like “Rolling in the Deep” and “Hello,” are among the top 50 best-selling albums in music history.

The album “21” was released in 2011 and has sold an estimated 31 million copies worldwide (she titles her projects after her age while writing the majority of the music). The album “25” was released in 2015 and has sold 22 million copies worldwide.

Adele, or anyone else, will never achieve those sales statistics again, thanks to the dominance of streaming platforms like Spotify. Nonetheless, she has a level of celebrity that only Taylor Swift can match in the music industry.

She’s also been away from a medium where tastes vary month to month for six years.

“There isn’t a thunderous ‘Hello,’ but I don’t want another song like that,” Adele stated in a recent interview with Vogue. That song catapulted my fame to new heights, which I don’t wish to repeat.”
