The Fund Duel, gamified fundraising platform is becoming a celebrity favorite. Tell us why.
The exciting innovations that Fund Duel is bringing to the fundraising space are team-based competitions with prizes and photo/video-based challenges that are instantly shared on social media, a leaderboard that constantly shows real time updates, and shareable content that is a social media manager’s dream! The expansive viewership of campaigns is the reason that social influencers and celebrities love Fund Duel. Additionally, they engage their following in a more organic, peer to peer manner, expand their fan-base, create great exposure for their brand across all social media platforms and wield a powerful voice for social good.
Recently, Celebrity Artist Albina Zorina launched a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Why is art and fundraising a winning combination on the Fund Duel platform?
We are the YouTube of fundraising. YouTube achieved epic success via their democratized approach allowing users to share creative content. Likewise, Fund Duel democratized fundraising in ways no other platform has come close. Our platform encourages users to create shareable content that simultaneously garners donations for good causes. The Albina Zorina campaign for breast cancer is very special to me (my daughter survived breast cancer while she was pregnant), and the use of a donated painting of Angelina Jolie by Albina is a remarkable way to showcase her immense artistic talent and raise money at the same time for breast cancer patients and their families. As part of the campaign, donors “join the challenge,” by uploading a video sharing their story of how breast cancer has impacted their life and the lives of loved ones. Visitors to the site select one of the teams to support on the leaderboard. Their donations are made on selected uploaded videos and photos. The result? Fund Duel has become the gold standard as a hub for artists, musicians, film producers, corporate partners, and the masses to engage in campaigns that create greater awareness and funds.

Take us through the process.
We are the solution for easy and engaging fundraising. Instead of doing a huge event that is labor intensive and expensive, organizations are choosing Fund Duel because there are no up-front costs, and campaigns are easy to create. Fund Duel campaigns generate great results in online viewership online (every campaign has global potential), especially when multiple teams are engaging their own social following. This typically translates into amplifying awareness and fostering strong donor activity.
For example, Brylan’s Feat Foundation is a small nonprofit that raises money for an incurable disease. The founder procured commitments for twenty-seven teams, comprised of businesses, couples, grandparents with grandkids, and family members. Each captain reached out to their sphere of influence to rally them to their team, which magnified page visits, energy and activity. As a result, the campaign produced 500 donors, far beyond anything she had experienced in the past. The campaign reached 18 countries and she had 6,000 page views. She raised: $85,010.00

We have a fun video on how to be a team captain and this was followed by Brylan’s Feat and another group in Jackson Hole Wyoming with great success, they raised $301,200.00

Tell us about partnering with Ron Deshay, a former producer of American Idol.
We are thrilled to be partners with the exceptional Ron Deshay, a former producer of American Idol and his “A Better World Project.” His campaign will include a two-day concert with celebrity musicians and major corporate partners televised on the OWN network or his own “World of Dreams Entertainment” Network. Ron saw Fund Duel as the perfect platform to involve the masses in a video and photo-based challenge that would connect celebrities to their fan-bases. As an exceptional visionary, he sees Fund Duel as the most engaging and entertaining way to raise funds and awareness for great causes.
What creative ways can the Fund Duel platform be used for celebrities and influencers?
We raise money for causes and for projects. We also add great value at events including corporate conferences, film festivals, concerts, galas, etc…. We just raised money for a film project via a “battle of the bands,” wherein the bands competed to raise money for the film and a good cause while having the chance to have their music in the film. The Fund Duel platform is elegant, flexible and user-friendly. One of the key components to success on Fund Duel is found in committed, active teams and team captains. Team captains can be celebrities, individuals, families, companies, divisions of companies, countries, avatars, or characters in a movie such as the one we were going to do with the Star Wars movie with Disney, they raised: : $166,822.04

Who would you LOVE to work with?
I would love to have a fun competition including some of my favorite entertainers including Jamie Fox, Keanu Reeves, Hugh Grant and the “Rock.” I would love to have Tony Robbins use Fund Duel at one of his events (just think how much money and awareness we could bring to the causes he champions while further building his already exceptional brand). I love working with stars but equally I am passionate about helping small causes and people that are suffering. Together, we can deliver world-class results and we have the tool to do it!!!
We can raise the multimillions with global competitions and with our partner in Brazil we already have 16 soccer leagues lined up to do a Fund Duel for charities in Brazil. The opportunities are endless.
