Hot Pie Media is known for its diverse and all-encompassing content. What is in store for the upcoming months?
In addition to the Hot Pie Media (HPM) podcasts, HPM has a vast library of music shows and specials recorded over a 15 year period including classics such as Chris Jagger and Jerry Hall’s “Jerry’s Hall of Fame” which are being repurposed as streaming music shows, specials and podcasts. We’re also looking at live audience streaming shows and podcasts.
Hot Pie Media Podcast Network Officially Launched From Austin, Texas, unveiling original content, Baked Fresh Daily, With A Slate Of Celebrity Hosts. What led you to this?
Having many friends and associates in the film and music industry, it was natural for us to ask them to join the HPM podcast network/family. Many of them told us, “I’ve always wanted to do a podcast,” or “I’m doing a podcast but really only have time to script it and host it.” When actors are filming and musicians touring, there’s always downtime, which allows them to record a podcast on the set or on the road. Several of these hosts send us their audio and HPM does the rest; post production, distribution, marketing, promotion, and monetization.
Tell us about your celebrity line-up.
Hot Pie Media’s celebrity line-up includes Academy and Tony Award-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden, Award-winning actor Chris Noth (“Sex and the City”), Emmy Award-winning actor Judge Reinhold (“Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” “Beverly Hills Cop”), Steppenwolf founder John Kay (known for the Rock anthems “Born to be Wild” and “Magic Carpet Ride”), brothers Chris and Mick Jagger and a host (no pun intended) of others that will be joining Hot Pie Media’s 2022 slate of shows.
“There’s a lot of talent, both celebrated and yet to be discovered that deserves to be heard but don’t have the support, expertise or time to reach a larger audience on their own. Please explain.
Anyone can do a podcast, however there are many moving parts and variables in order to make a podcast successful. Not everyone is able to “wear all the hats,” scripting, recording, scheduling, distributing, marketing, promoting, and monetizing, to name a few. Hot Pie Media takes care of the moving parts and variables which, in turn, allows the host to focus on the purely creative aspects of podcasting.
What are the hot topics? What makes this unique?
