Kim Kardashian and Drake have expressed concern over police violence.

After cameras caught footage of the shooting murders of two black men, Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, at the hands of police officers, a lone gunman set out on a mission to “kill white police officers.”

Micah Xavier Johnson, the sniper, shot and killed five Dallas police officers on Thursday.

Castile, who was a kitchen supervisor at a Montessori school, was pulled over for a tail light violation before being shot four times in the chest.

Castile, who had a licensed firearm on his person, was reportedly shot while reaching for his identification.

“This is real and I’m concerned. Concerned for the safety of my family, my friends and any human being that could fall victim to this pattern,” wrote Drake after viewing footage of Sterling being held down by Baton Rouge police and being shot in the chest. “It’s impossible to ignore that the relationship between black and brown communities and law enforcement remains as strained as it was decades ago.”

“I want my children to grow up knowing that their lives matter,” wrote reality star, Kim Kardashian. Kardashian is the mother of two children with African American rapper, Kanye West. “I do not ever want to have to teach my son to be scared of the police, or to tell him that he has †o watch his back because the people we are told to trust – the people who ‘protect and serve’ – may not be protecting him because of the color of his skin.”
